Los Angeles: Financial Statements can be Key to Higher Asking Price

California Association of Business Brokers offers introductory course

(San Jose, CA) – The sale price of a business is most often associated with the earnings of the business. For many California business brokers, taking a closer look at the income statement is leading to higher asking prices for their sellers.

The California Association of Business Brokers (CABB) will be presenting “Analyzing and Recasting Financial Statements.” The two-day, advanced-level course will be offered Monday and Tuesday, June 16-17, 2008 in Northern and Southern California. The course will be offered simultaneously at the Biltmore Hotel and Suites in Santa Clara, and the Grand Long Beach Event Center in Long Beach.

“As the economy tightens and more baby boomers look to retirement, business sales are becoming very competitive,” said Ron Hottes, president of CABB. “This course focuses on recasting financial statements to maximize company earnings while minimizing a business broker’s liability.”
